We, at Ballymena Today recently wrote about Flat lays in our blog posts about Camera Phones which you can read by clicking here. We have noticed one of our favourite local Ballymena businesses using flay lays on their social media feed to show off their products.
Here are some quick hints for a great flat lay.
1/ Choose a basic background. Plain and simple is best to show off you subjects.
2/ Try to take advantage of natural light rather than depending on your camera flash.
3/ Lay your items flat but remember to create movement too. Ruffle a sleeve or fold something over slightly to give teh picture more depth.
4/ Space your items out. If you don’t your picture cold end up looking like a jumble sale.
5/ Pick a theme and stick to it. Go for one colour, idea or outfit like Good Folk have below.
