The Ballymena Today youth team blog about their new favourite local business! Here we go . . .

Live in Ballymena and struggling to think of places to go to meet up with a friend? Where to read a good book while sipping a coffee? Well, look no further! Here’s why…
Last Saturday, I went to ‘Toast’ in Cullybackey with (believe it or not!!) Cherry (blog writer to the stars)! ‘Toast’ is a fairly new-built café which serves breakfasts, lunches, snack and drinks (especially coffee).

There is a takeaway service available, and they also serve afternoon teas (booking however must be made in advance).
And, just for a heads up, “Toast” stands for Totally Original And Seriously Tasty!
Toast, although looks like a small café from the outside, when you walk through the entrance you will realise just how big it is! It has a very relaxed atmosphere, with some people chatting away at their tables, and some soft music playing in the background, so you also don’t feel as if you’re speaking “too loud” and that people are going to listen in on your conversation!
I ordered a hot chocolate and a rocky road traybake, which was very yummy… I simply took the traybake at the till, and ordered a hot chocolate, which I got very soon afterwards. Long story short: it was the nicest hot chocolate I have had in a long time!
When I ordered my food, the lady at the till asked me if I had a ‘Loyalty Card’. I had never been there before so I hadn’t. She gave me a card and stamped two of the pictures. Any time that you get a drink there, they stamp another picture. Whenever you get 9 stamps, you get a 10th one free!
Have you ever been to Toast? If not, why not?
