Santa comes to Raceview Mill Market in Broughshane

Raceview is an old woollen mill, dating back to 1806. It fell derelict and was sold for demolition in 2013.

Throughout the years the mill was a major source of employment. The most recent occupier was the Patton Construction Group who used it as workshops, customer sales areas offices, canteens and even an indoor football pitch and recreation area.

The new owner, a landscape photographer and artist, decided instead of demolition to create a fusion between an arts and crafts village, an affordable business park for fledgling businesses AND a tourist attraction. This is a unique idea in Northern Ireland.

An ugly empty space at the entrance is now an attractive village street, complete with a red village pump, offices for creative professionals, a quirky coffee shop and a large art gallery/event space. (Source)
