The Northern Ireland Hospice 25th Big Coffee Break fundraiser has recently been launched. Many people in the Ballymena area and from all over Northern Ireland support the work of the NI Hospice. This is another opportunity to do just that! This special 25th anniversary campaign will begin on Thursday 21st September 2017.

Northern Ireland Hospice 25th Big Coffee Break

L-R: Miss Northern Ireland Anna Henry, Northern Ireland Hospice vice president, Olivia Nash and Managing Director of ACA models, Alison Clarke launch the 25th Northern Ireland Hospice Big Coffee Break at the Old School House Café.

The Northern Ireland Hospice say.

“We are encouraging schools, businesses, community organisations and individuals across the country to raise a cuppa and help celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Northern Ireland Hospice Big Coffee Break campaign starting on Thursday, 21st September.

The first Northern Ireland Hospice Coffee Morning took place in 1992 with only 65 people registered. Twenty five years later, the Big Coffee Break campaign has grown significantly. 350 hosts registered in 2016 and over £44k was raised for the charity.

This year, Northern Ireland Hospice is hoping to get even more kettles boiling. We are calling on the public to register for their free bag of NI Hospice Blend Coffee, kindly sourced and roasted by Bailies Coffee Roasters, and collect £2 for each cup of coffee served.

The Northern Ireland Hospice Big Coffee Break starts on 21st September, but hosts can organize events on whatever date suits best up to 30th November.

Everyone is encouraged to get involved in the Northern Ireland Hospice 25th Big Coffee Break.

Joanna Pawson, Events Manager at Northern Ireland Hospice said:

“This year we’re encouraging people from all walks of life to help us celebrate our 25th Big Coffee Break. Everyone who signs up to host a coffee morning will receive free hospice blended coffee, kindly sourced and roasted by Bailies Coffee Roasters, and a welcome pack filled with promotional materials & tips on how to make your coffee morning an easy success.

Money raised from this year’s Big Coffee Break will support our Hospice at Home service. This ensures that every patient receives the highest standard of palliative care in the comfort of their own home. They can be surrounded by their loved ones, no matter where they live.”

Showing her support once again for the annual campaign, Alison Clarke, Managing Director at ACA Models added:

“I am delighted to be the event ambassador for the Northern Ireland Hospice 25th Big Coffee Break. The Hospice is very dear to us at ACA and is the chosen charity for Miss Northern Ireland. The current Miss Northern Ireland, Anna Henry, is here today along with Former Miss Northern Ireland, Emma Carswell to show their support to this amazing charity and enjoy the wonderful coffee.”
