The Church Street business was started 40 years ago by local businessman David Bellingham, and has continued to flourish. He began trading from the premises currently occupied by the Oxfam charity shop. After a few years David made the move to the much larger premises on the corner of Church Street and Bryan Street. The business still trades from here and as well as the menswear shop, also runs a successful men’s suit hire business. We spoke to David about his 40 years on Church Street.
