Here is what the Lonely Planet experts had to say:

1. Belfast & the Causeway Coast, Northern Ireland

Belfast’s transformation over the past two decades has been remarkable. A city once patrolled by heavily armed troops and dogged by sectarian violence is now full of hip neighbourhoods that burst with bars, restaurants and venues to suit all tastes. The rusting old docklands are now the vibrant Titanic Quarter, home to fancy apartments and a sensational museum. Beyond lies the Causeway Coast, whose timeless beauty and high-grade distractions – golf, whiskey and some of the world’s most famous rocks – are more popular now than ever.

We have to admit that we couldn’t agree more! What a fantastic reminder of how great Northern Ireland is – especially our beautiful coastline and our capital city. In Belfast we especially love the beautiful architecture, from City Hall, St Anne’s Cathedral, to the Ulster Hall alongside some wonderful places to eat, drink and explore.

Yet another confirmation about how Ballymena is the perfect location to live. Just over half an hour from the city centre in one direction and the scenic causeway coast on the other. We also love how close we are to the beautiful glens of Antrim, our local music scene and our top notch schools. Read more here.
