Ballymena Today know that while lots of people are celebrating now that their exam results are in, other have been left wondering what now?

 

Even students who achieved good results may still be unsure about their next move. Now is the time to decide which course you will pursue at university or in further education, if a gap year is a better option or whether to enter the workforce.

The Careers Service has a team of professionally-qualified careers advisers who offer impartial careers information, advice and guidance to people of all ages.

Careers Service advisers will be available from 9.00 am to 8.00 pm to provide support to students and their parents on:

  • Thursday 18 and Friday 19 August for A-Level students 
  • Thursday 25 and Friday 26 August for GCSE students

Help is also on hand from the Northern Regional Colleges (NRC) who run a huge variety of courses which may suit students who prefer a practical course rather than academic learning. Click here to read about their Traineeship programmes which can open up opportunities for jobs. NRC also offer option for those who those who would like to eventually go to university but haven’t quite got the necessary results.
