A Tot and Parent Tennis programme comes to Ballymena thanks to Ballymena Lawn Tennis Club (BLTC).

Would you like to get your tots started to play sport and have some great outdoor fun? This is a great opportunity to do that! BLTC Head Coach Barry Clarke will deliver this Early Years Tennis Programme at The People’s Park in Ballymena. Using his Professional Tennis Coaching qualification, PGCE teaching degree and many years of experience, this will be a fun and engaging programme.

This Tot and Parent programme is perfect for after nursery/after school. Details as follows –

  • Every Wednesday for 8 weeks – beginning 10th October 2018
  • Location – The People’s Park, Ballymena
  • Maximum of 8 places available for each stage
  • Cost – £8 per week

The programme is divided into 2 stages

  • Stage 1 for 3-4 years old (Nursery) takes place from 2pm – 3pm
  • Stage 2 for 4-6 years old (Primary) from 3:30pm – 4:30pm

Tot and Parent Tennis comes to Ballymena – a programme for 3 to 6 year olds

BLTC say about the programme, “This programme is designed by Ballymena Lawn Tennis Club to get 3-6 year olds active and learning new skills in an exciting and social environment. Parents are encouraged to stay during each tots session, as you can play a key part in helping them learn and have fun.

Each session will be packed with activities, exercises and fun tennis games. As they work through the programme they will develop and build up their physical ‘ABC’s’ – Agility, Balance, Co-ordination, as well as basic tennis technique. The children will also develop throwing and receiving skills, whilst developing numeracy and language skills alongside their tennis. The brightly coloured equipment will also help to keep the children stimulated.”
