                                             Year 12 took to the stage in May for their
                                             final performance pieces.
                                             Each group performed a different script-
                                             ed piece including “The Crucible” by Ar-
                                             thur  Millar,  “Dream  Jobs”  by  Graham
                                             Jones,  “Hard  to  Swallow”  by  Mark
                                             Wheeler, “Legends” by Greg Cullen and
                                             “15  Reasons  Not  To    Be  In  A  Play”  by
                                             Alan Haehnel.
                                             Each group worked particularly hard ed-
                                             iting the scripts, deciding on set and cos-
                                             tumes and making creative decisions.  It
                                             was a joy to watch the individuals devel-
                                             op  their  group  skills  and  demonstrate
                                             their understanding of theatre.




         The  play  explores  the  close  bonds,
         rivalries  and  jealousies  of  mother  and
         daughter  relationships  through  four
         generations  in  the  same  family.  Each
         generation  reacts  against  the  previous
         one, yet the women all end up having to
         make similar choices between work and
         family –  never  fully  being  satisfied  with                                                              95
         their  decision.  The  play  includes  non-
