in English!
8L1 explored the theme of Ac-
tion and Adventure through
stories, poems and the media.
They studied how voice-over
artists use pace, pitch, pause,
tone and volume to convey their
meaning effectively and were
assessed narrating a voice-over
for a film trailer. Pupils did this
with such enthusiasm that Mrs
Dempsey gave them the oppor-
tunity to write and produce
their own film trailers. The
standard was high and the class
had a mini Oscars-style ceremo-
ny to celebrate the task man-
agement, acting and ICT skills of
the class.
