- Keep your pet warm. If you are taking them outdoors wrap them up in a little coat, or reduce the time that you spend outdoors in the frost and snow.
- When animals are cold they seek shelter so check in sheds, garages, and underneath your car before you drive off!
- Don’t let your pet drink from puddles – antifreeze which is regularly used in the winter is toxic and your pet could ingests some by mistake.
- Try to keep you pet indoors as much as possible and away from any roads. Traffic accidents increase in winter and your pet could be more at risk.
