Ballymena Today loves The Source by Macmillan Cancer Support

Macmillan Cancer Support have unveiled a new support website called “The Source”. Ballymena Today think that the idea behind the website is absolutely brilliant. Here is what they say: It’s called CANCER! A few decades ago people did not really talk about cancer. It was considered a bit of a taboo. Thankfully we have come a long way since those days, but unfortunately some still find talking about cancer very difficult. This can make those with the disease feel like cancer is shameful. Sometimes people are not sure how to approach the subject and they need support. This is why we have a new site called The Source, where you can find useful tips to help those affected by cancer. The idea is that real people who have first had experience supporting loved ones with cancer can share tips and advice. It is practical and often the common sense tips are things that we would be glad to hear. For example – we aren’t the only ones who are scared to ask lots of questions in the doctors office – Lottie on The Source says she felt the same way and not to worry. Also remember Macmillan Cancer Support also have a free support line which you can call for support or advice on 0808 808 0000 weekdays between 9am and 8pm. Don’t feel like you are supporting someone...
