Zombie visit Waterstones in Ballymena

Tomorrow night Zombies will be visiting Waterstones Ballymena. Well not quite, but the brilliant Uproar Comics team who wrote the popular Zombies Hi comic book will be there to turn you into a Zombie. Start your half term with a spooky zombie caricature and take a look at their other comic book series including “Leap” and “Conundrum”. Their first series “Zombies Hi” has been a best seller and is sure to satisfy any comic book fan with their local fix. An unknown virus swept the globe changing mankind into hordes of the Undead and tumbling all of civilisation. In the post apocalyptic City of Derry, what remains of its’ population has huddled behind its’ historic city walls praying for survival from the beasts that claw at their gates. Their Walls held off a siege before, but can they do it again?? No-one knows exactly what caused humanity to change, but they know there is no going back. They must fight to take back their town. Records – Throwback Thursday

The younger members of the Ballymena Today team can just about remember Records playing on our parents turntable so we got pretty nostalgic to see Track Records in Ballymena posting this picture on Facebook yesterday. Ballymena Today team member Ally Simpson is a big Beatles fan; “The Red and Blue albums were my introduction to the Beatles and I haven’t looked back since. Slemish Market Garden prides itself itself on using traditional methods to grow seasonal fruit, vegetables and cottage garden plants on site. Fresh produce as well as transplants and potted plants are available for sale each day. Open 9-5 six days a week, (shut on Sunday) everything is picked early morning so the later you leave it the less produce there will be in the shop, it usually takes until 10.30 to get everything picked, eggs washed and the shop stocked so anytime after this is a good time to call.
