The next Slemish Market Supper Club is on Saturday 2nd September 2017 starting at 7:30pm. The venue for this one is Springwell & Thomas Coffee, Springwell Street, Ballymena BT43 6AT.
As always the food will be sourced from Slemish Market Garden and other local suppliers but this time there will be a Spanish flavour to the cooking. The guest chef for this event is Gorka Arrieta from the Basque region in Spain. He’ll be joining chef Rob Curley to prepare and cook a delicious 6 course meal of delicious local produce. Some of us on the Ballymena Today team have already been to a Slemish Market Supper Club and it’s definitely an amazing night of food, fun and banter!
We spoke to chef Rob Curley who gave us a bit of a ‘flavour’ of what to expect on the night.
“Chef Gorka and myself would love to welcome you to our next Slemish Market Supper Club on Saturday 2nd. You will experience a collaboration of cooking ideas using Northern Irish and Spanish techniques in fun and creative ways. We are really looking forward to showcasing the fantastic produce that is available in Ballymena and the surrounding areas.”
Slemish Market Supper Club is a great pop-up dining experience in Ballymena. If you’re intending to go to this next night with a Spanish twist you will need to book your place.
