We’ve been having a look to see what’s on in Ballymena in the run-up to Christmas 2019. Here’s a few family friendly events which might be of interest –

Saturday 14th December – Fright Club presents Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas

Venue – The Braid Arts Centre ~

Doors 1:30pm Starts at 2pm.

Suitable for all ages (PG)

The Braid says, ‘Join us for a very special presentation of Tim Burton’s highly original stop-motion seasonal classic ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ as we lament with The Pumpkin King himself, Jack Skellington and his friends’ attempt to bring Christmas to Halloween Town.’ 

Saturday 14th December – Christmas on Castle Street 2019

Ballymena Elim Church look forward to welcoming lots of people to Castle Street for a day of festive fun. Go on a walk-through tour of The Bethlehem Experience, with new scenes and cast members for this year.

Enjoy free BBQ food in the Food Tent, get some shopping done at their Christmas market and much more festive fun will be on offer throughout the day. Runs from 11:30am – 4:30pm

Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th December –

The Missing Magic ~ A Christmas Experience

Venue – Galgorm Castle Fairy Trail – starting both days at 11am. You can read the full details and buy tickets on their Facebook page here. This sounds like a very enchanting and exciting adventure for the kiddies.

13th – 27th December – Cre:8 Theatre presents Jack and the Beanstalk

Venue – The Braid Arts Centre

A massive part of the festive season is the Christmas pantomime and this year sees Jack and the Beanstalk come to town. Evening shows start at 7pm and Saturday performances at 11am. Go to The Braid website here to buy tickets and for more details about the panto.
