How to find out if a building is listed

Wilson and Mawhinney, in Ballymena, are experienced in construction projects all over Northern Ireland. If you are thinking of doing any kind of work on your home or premises you may want to check if it is listed. A listed building is a building which the Department of the Environment has decided is of ‘special architectural or historic interest’. Here is advice from NI Direct about how to find out if a building is listed; You can find out if a building is listed in Northern Ireland by looking up the Northern Ireland Buildings Database. This contains information on all listed buildings in the region as well as information on buildings recorded since 1997 that do not meet the statutory test. The Statutory List (held in paper form) contains further information on buildings that have not been reviewed since 1997. This can be accessed at the Northern Ireland Monuments and Buildings Record, located in Northern Ireland Environment Agency’s (NIEA) offices and are also deposited with Local Councils. Staff of the Northern Ireland Environment Agency’s Historic Buildings Unit are happy to confirm if a structure is listed or not and can be contacted: by telephone on 028 9054 3158 or 028 9054 3176 by e-mail at bh@doeni.gov.uk by writing to: Northern Ireland Environment Agency Waterman House 5 – 33 Hill Street Belfast BT1 2GA Click here for more information. Track doesn’t update until the morning. 2/ You still have to get your Exam results from your school. They won’t be available online from UCAS. 3/ If you didn’t get the results you needed for your chosen courses then you go into ‘clearing’. Warning Signs that you might need new car tyres

Ballymena Tyres, located at Warden Street in Ballymena, want to share five warning signs that indicate that you need to put new tyres on you car or vehicle. Tread Depth – The tread on your tires should never fall below 1/16 of an inch (1.6 millimeters) in depth. If you regularly drive on slick, wet surfaces, you’d be even better off with twice that much. Tread wear indicator bar – Newer tires have a convenience that older tires lacked. They have tread wear indicator bars built into the tires themselves. These bars, invisible or barely visible when the tires are new, gradually begin to appear as the tread wears down. Cracks in the sidewall – Look for tracks or cuts in the sidewall — grooves that are distinct enough to be visible to the naked eye. This could be a sign that your tire is developing a leak (or worse, that it’s nearly ready to blow out). Bulges and Blisters on the tyre – This weak spot can cause a sudden blow out, and if you don’t change your faulty tyre before this happens, it may end up putting you in the hospital when the tire blows out on the motorway. Too Much Vibration – A certain amount of vibration is inevitable when driving, especially on poorly paved roads, but if you’ve been driving for a while, you probably...
