Ballymena Book club are currently reading “We are all completely beside ourselves” by Karen Joy Fowler which has also made it onto the Man Booker Prize 2014 Shortlist.
The well-rounded and fairly international shortlist includes previous winner in Howard Jacobson and a previously shortlisted author with Ali Smith.
The list for the first time includes American authors – Joshua Ferris and Karen Joy Fowler, and is completed by literary books from Richard Flanagan and Neel Mukherjee.
We don’t think we will read them all before the winner is announced but Ballymena Book Club have enjoyed Karen Joy Fowler’s novel and are looking forward to discussing it at their next meeting on 1st October at 7.00pm. Meeting at Waterstones in Ballymena the group go out for coffee and a chat and all are welcome.
