The Radio Cracker Ballymena 2016 broadcast will soon be starting. The first show this year gets underway on Sunday 27th November at 8:00am. Radio Cracker have been raising funds for many worthwhile causes across the world since the UK wide project began in 1991. Last year alone Radio Cracker Ballymena raised the fantastic sum of £58,300. You can see how that money was distributed on the Radio Cracker projects page here.

Radio Cracker Ballymena 2016

Charity radio station, Radio Cracker, is organised and run by volunteers. A lot of work goes on behind the scenes to ensure it is ready for broadcasting each year.  They work hard to keep the programme fresh and provide shows and music to suit all tastes. This year several of the lunchtime shows will be presented by media students from several Ballymena schools. Many of the ‘regulars’ and a few new presenters will also be on-air for the annual four week broadcast. Check out the programme here for this year’s schedule.

If you are a business owner, Radio Cracker Ballymena can help get your message out there at this busy shopping period. You can advertise or sponsor programmes during the broadcast.  To find out more details, email admin@radiocracker.org.uk

Also if you are a leader of a community group or involved in the publicity of community events Radio Cracker can help. They have a feature, several times each day, called ‘Community Corner’. This is when the presenters make the listeners aware of what events are happening around Ballymena and the surrounding area. If you would like your community event to be included in this get in touch at admin@radiocracker.org.uk.

Radio Cracker Ballymena 2016 programme begins on Sunday 27th November at 8:00am. You can hear it on 107.6FM in the greater Ballymena area. Online, anywhere in the world, here! It finishes at 3:00pm on Christmas Eve.

As well as the radio broadcast each year, Radio Cracker Ballymena also organise several fundraising events. So far this year they’ve had a country concert, cake sale, table quiz and a Sainsbury’s customer collection day.

Still to come, and what promises to be a fantastic night, is a concert by the Belfast Community Gospel Choir. The multicultural choir say, ‘We take great pride in the fact that our community is multicultural and cross-community.’ This fundraising concert organised by Radio Cracker will take place in Wellington Church, Sourhill Rd, Ballymena on Saturday 19th November. It gets underway at 7:30pm. You can buy tickets online here or at the Faith Mission Bookshop on High St.
