What’s happening at Base Ballymena Recently they have enjoyed some excellent trips including a horse riding day out At Sheans Horse Farm and Heritage Centre. They took part in an inter-base Sponsored Walk with a trip to Barry’s on the North Coast. Some candle-making was also on their agenda. Alternative Angles ran this event. Dogs Trust Ballymena Based Microchipping Unit

The Dogs Trust Ballymena based microchipping unit is celebrating a microchipping landmark. Their mobile microchipping team have reached the total of 1000 dogs chipped in a year throughout Northern Ireland! The team are based at the Dogs Trust Rehoming Centre on Teeshan Road just outside Ballymena. The unit also run events throughout Northern Ireland in a bid to ensure responsible dog ownership in local communities. Ballymena Business Centre is set to benefit from having access to next generation fibre technology, having successfully secured the roll out of ‘Fibre-to-the-Premises’ (FTTP) broadband to 52 business units located in the Co Antrim facility, thanks to a Government voucher scheme and Openreach’s ‘Community Fibre Partnership’ (CFP) scheme. The CFP scheme aims to build a customised fibre solution to bring ultrafast, ultra-reliable full fibre broadband in communities who are not currently included in any private or publicly financed fibre rollout plans, by putting joint funding arrangements in place and advising people on grants they can access from local authorities...

Cracker Tunes for Cracker Causes is one of the catchy jingles on Radio Cracker Ballymena, and that’s exactly what they achieved during their recent 2019 broadcast. Lots of tunes, chat, quizzes and more in the programmes during the four week period up to Christmas Eve, together with other fundraising events held throughout the year brought in a fantastic £51,000 for Cracker causes.
