Coffee Photography Project by Connor McCullough

Last week Coffee Northern Ireland blogged about a coffee photography project by local photographer Connor McCullough called Crafters of Coffee. See their post here. Here’s what Connor has to say about his project. As coffee is a craft, I plan to use my own craft to do this. I plan to shoot portraits of roasters, business people, baristas, and others involved in the process. I hope to shoot these on a Mamiya 645 camera, with Kodak Tri-X 400 Film. I then plan to develop the film myself, and make prints in my dark room, hopefully reflecting the care and...

Ballymena Today loves WordPress

Our website is built on WordPress. WordPress is web software you can use to create a beautiful website or blog. We like to say that WordPress is both free and priceless at the same time. We love how simple WordPress is. For writers who just want to get on with typing, to serious coders who want to build something unique… you can do almost anything with it. We also love that WordPress is an open-source platform which means that there are thousands of developers helping to improve it all the time. The theme options are endless if you are not building something from scratch and once you get that far, there are plugins available to cover just about any requirement you might have on your site. For anyone wanting to get started on the web, we also say WordPress first. There are lots of other great options of course but we trust WordPress. As well as it being our main foundation on Ballymena Today, here are a couple of essential blocks of our site that we could not do without. Studiopress We use a Studiopress theme to run the site. Over the last few years we have worked with quite a few WordPress themes and Studiopress is among the every best and most reliable option we know of. Check out the features you get with them here. Free Coffee Icon Prints from Coffee NI

Just before Christmas, Coffee Northern Ireland added a few free coffee icon prints to their site for you to download. Here’s what they said… We’ve also added a page called “Freebies” which will have occasional free items for you to download or use for non-commercial purposes… we have some ideas for this which should be fun but for now we won’t make promises about how often we will update that. In the meantime, feel free to download the first four simple coffee icon prints, they are created to be printed in A4 size and are completely free to you for non-commercial use. Click the image, download the file, stick it in a frame, make your room look lovely. The larger images on the page, when clicked are created to be printed in A4 size and are completely free to you for non-commercial use or, you can grab a smaller jpeg on the same page if you you want to use it on your phone as a background image. We love the bright colours and the simplicity of a single icon to represent a certain area of coffee brewing/making. We hope to be seeing more of the same from Coffee Ni during...
