Ladies who enjoy running – this is an event for you! Ballymena Belles are holding a 5 mile race on Tuesday 14th April 2015 starting at 7pm. Registration and changing facilities are at Galgorm Community Centre, Raphael Way in Galgorm and there’s also parking here. The race starts on Fenaghy Road near Corbally Bridge and will end at the Community Centre. This is a female only event organised by Ballymena Runners, the very successful local running club.
This Ballymena Belles event is sponsored by local businesses KK Beauty Clinic, Woodsides Pharmacy, Steele Physio & also Athletics Northern Ireland. There will be age category prizes for the various sectors and an exclusive Ballymena Belles shopper for the first 300 entries.

This link will also give full details of the various prices to compete in the event, with £1 from each entry going to support NI Kidney Patients Association. Alternatively you can register on the day at the venue in Galgorm, although it’s cheaper to register beforehand. Lots of ways to register so no excuse for not taking part!
Running has become so popular recently and is really good for so many reasons. Obviously there’s the benefits we get from regular exercise and sticking to a healthy lifestyle, also the friendships formed and fun we have as we run together. Ballymena Runners club has had many ladies joining the club in the last few years and we see them regularly running and training on the footpaths around the town.
