SOAK – Sea Creatures

SOAK, real name Bridie Monds-Watson, hails from Londonderry and appeared on the first episode of the series. We have been listening to her ever since. Here is that great performance;

SOAK played a song called Sea Creatures which is a little taster from her first full length album which is due out any day now. Earlier this year, Culture NI named Before We Forgot How To Dream as one of its Northern Irish Albums To Get Excited About. Chris Jones wrote: ‘It was recorded with Villagers man Tommy McLaughlin at his Donegal studio, and if the re-recorded ‘Sea Creatures’ is anything to go by, it promises to be lush and full-bodied, but intimate too.’

If you want to here it first then the album We Forgot How To Dream is steaming at NPR First Listen. Click here to hear more from SOAK. Keep an eye out here at Ballymena Toady for more Music Tuesday blog posts.
