Music Tuesday – Ciaran Lavery

Ciaran Lavery hails from Aghagallon, near Lurgan, and we at Ballymena Today are delighted to feature him in our Music Tuesday slot. We got a real treat when we were whizzing around Ballymena running errands last week as Ciaran was on BBC Radio 2 with Dermot O’Leary talking about his upcoming album Let Bad In.

Click here to listen to Ciaran Lavery chatting to Dermot and playing live for his Saturday Sessions. He performs music from his new album including his new sing Return to Form which you can listen to on Spotify right now. The interview is absolutely charming and he has some great advice for any aspiring singer songwriters and some insight into his dog Hugo. Ciaran talks about his success on Spotify and how much he loves his home village. He then finished with a beautiful Tom Waits cover. Worth a listen!

Would you like to hear more – if so watch the video for Return to Form below.

We cant wait to hear that new album which is due out at the end of May – giving you plenty of time to dip into his back catalogue.

We also recommend that you tune into The Dermot O’Leary Show this Saturday to hear one of our favourite Music Tuesday musicians Foy Vance who we blogged about here.

Do you know another great local artist who we should be listening to? Send us a message and we would love to feature them on the Ballymena today Music Tuesday slot.
